June 2024 President Biden Immigration Policies
On June 18, 2024, President Biden announced two immigration policies that will facilitate access to existing pathways to lawful status for certain undocumented immigrants. The first policy is known as Parole in Place (“PIP”) for Undocumented Spouses or Children (including stepchildren) of U.S. Citizens. The second policy clarifies eligibility and expedites access to a waiver (aka a “pardon”) that some undocumented immigrants pursuing an employment-based visa may need in order to receive the visa.
Below are resources to help you understand and prepare for these policy changes.
- Parole in Place (PIP) for Spouses or Children of U.S. Citizens
- Disclaimer: The Parole-in-Place Program will not be available until August 19, 2024. The program could be changed or terminated at any time. Make sure you consult with a qualified immigration legal services provider to determine your eligibility and make an informed decision about whether you may want to apply.
